Pickala Golf is located 40 km west of Helsinki, about a half hour’s drive away.  With three completely unique courses, Pickala is a golfer’s dream and a fantastic golf complex. The courses represent the nature of southern Finland in miniature with landscapes of rolling fields, seascapes and hilly forests. As the only golf club with three 18-hole courses in all of the Nordic countries, Pickala is the perfect host for both professional tournaments as well as for enjoyable leisure play.

Park – When stretched to championship length, this course challenges even the most demanding player. Its park-like setting and mature forests provide a handsome backdrop. The front nine are expansive with room to roam. The course’s character changes during the back nine as players encounter more difficult terrain. Fairways grow narrow as they roll through the sloping landscape. The game isn’t over until the last two holes are conquered –especially the memorable 17th hole.

Park hosted the European Boys’ Team Championships for under 18-year olds in 2015.

Seaside – Heading out from the clubhouse terrace, Seaside’s front nine dives in between fields and forests. These beautifully manicured and peaceful holes meander by water hazards and forests before returning to the clubhouse. The back nine is located on the shores of Pickala Bay. A northern wind brings out the challenging nature of this links-style course. A vista opens up from the final tee overlooking the whole bay leading to a short but difficult par-3 finishing hole where many tournaments of all sizes have been decided. Requiring both precision and strategy, brainpower beats brawn on this course.

Forest – The pride of Pickala and an avid golfer’s dream, this handsome course, completed in 2004, traverses the outer periphery of Pickala’s 200 hectares. With its unique personality, Forest completes the trifecta of courses at Pickala. The course travels through a hilly landscape bordered by mature trees. The final nine is especially rewarding as each hole is beautifully secluded and play progresses at its own pace. Reserve at least 4 hours for your round and remember 2 things: there’s no sense in ruining your game on the first hole and it ain’t over until all 18 are done.
